Color of the Month: Icy Mint
Although winter is slowly saying goodbye, some of its favorite shades are worth keeping on our palette a little longer. One of them is icy mint, a cool light blue-green shade that we'll be focusing on today.
If you're wondering how to bring this stylish color into your everyday life, the answer is chalk paints for glass and porcelain by Kreul. Use them to decorate your mug, bowl or other surfaces made of glass, metal, or ceramic. Once dry, they leave a smooth, soft surface that's very pleasant to the touch. The paint cures further in the oven after drying.

If working with paints seems too difficult, try porcelain markers instead. The painted surface dries on its own in 48 hours. The markers are also suitable for kids, so you can get them involved in decorating however they like.

Napkin Decoupage
Also known as decoupage, as artists often call it, this technique is popular all over the world. If both names are new to you, here’s a quick explanation: it’s a technique for applying a napkin or motif to a chosen surface. A wooden surface is often used, for example, cabinets or jewelry boxes. And since we also offer napkins, we’ve picked out some motifs in icy blue with polka dots and checks for you. And if you happen to enjoy napkin decoupage, you’ll find everything you need to get started at this link.

But icy mint doesn’t have to decorate only your surroundings. This interesting shade also works as a fashion accessory. We’ll show you how to make one yourself. To get started, all you need is a silk scarf and silk paint. And your fashion accessory doesn’t have to be all one color. The range of shades that go well with icy mint also includes dark pink, gray, and burgundy.

If you’d rather decorate a bag yourself, we have a few tips for that, too. We use thin fabric markers to decorate them. They’re very easy to use, and all you need to heat-set them is an iron and parchment paper. If you don’t have any paper, you can also iron the bag inside out. This way, you can create an original gift for someone special, too.
